Briefly about inductors

The inductor is the tool of the heating equipment, which is used to transfer the energy required for heating into the workpiece using an alternating magnetic field.

We design and manufacture our inductors according to our customer’s requirements and technological parameters. Precise design and modern manufacturing technology allow us to achieve stable operation, long service life and excellent heat resistance. They can be manufactured to be connected to a matching transformer (small, low-impedance designs) or directly connected to the generator (large, high-impedance designs).

Design

As a first step, our design team carefully examines the workpiece and the specifications of the heating process. After learning these details, we perform heating tests on our available test inductors as necessary, and then the design process begins, which is carried out with CAD-based software. We store the 3D models and manufacturing documentation we create, so that the inductors we manufacture can be measured, repaired or reproduced at any time in the future.

Manufacturing

The working part, the “head” of our inductors, can be made with 3D printing or from a drawn profile brazed solution, or a combination of these. We manufacture the copper profiles required for this in a wide range of sizes on our own equipment.

We make flux controlling attachments for the inductors according to the plans, which improve the heating efficiency and concentrate the energy at the required location. For the flux controlling attachments we use raw materials that we either import, or we make from a special material that we developed ourself.

The inductors can be coated with plastic-composite and refractory mineral-based materials, and combinations of these, which insulate the inductor and protect the coated area from external impacts and damage.

Maintenance tasks

Inductors damaged during use can in most cases be repaired, which is also a service we offer. Thanks to the documentation stored during the design process, we can quickly and efficiently repair inductors, whether it is the connecting part, the stems or even the working head. We can also perform maintenance on inductors not manufactured by us. We can create a 3D model of these inductors based on the part in order to facilitate later maintenance.
